Privacy

Last updated June 2026

Privacy isn't a policy footnote for Emdi — it's how the product is built. This page summarizes how we handle your data. It is a plain-language overview, not a substitute for the full legal terms.

Your files are ephemeral

When you convert a document, it is processed in memory and on a temporary path that is deleted the moment conversion finishes — success or failure. We do not store the contents of your files, and converted output is not retained on our servers unless a future feature explicitly offers opt-in storage.

What we do keep

For authenticated accounts we record conversion metadata — filename, file type, size, credit cost, and timestamp — to power your usage history and billing. This never includes the document contents.

Account data

We store the information needed to run your account: email, authentication identifiers, plan, credit balance, and API key hashes (never the raw keys). Authentication is handled by Supabase.

Analytics

We use privacy-conscious product analytics to understand how the site is used and improve it. We do not sell your data.
